Terms of use

1. Who we are

Sparrow is a language-course platform. The selling entity is still to be confirmed and will be named here; when you buy a course, your contract is with that entity. Payments are processed by Stripe.

2. What you buy: a licence to one course

When you buy, you receive a personal licence to use the specific course you bought, inside your own account. You are not buying ownership of the content, nor a licence over the whole platform.

• The weekly pass gives access to the course for 7 days from purchase. It is a one-off payment and does not renew by itself.
• The 3-month access lasts 90 days from purchase. It does not renew by itself either. If you buy more access while yours is still running, the new days are added to the days you have left.
• Single sessions and practice-paper packs are bought separately and open only what they name, for 6 months from purchase.

3. Personal use

The licence is personal and non-transferable. You may use the course on your own devices, for your own learning. You may not share your account or your access links with other people.

4. No redistribution

All course content (texts, exercises, recordings, practice papers and their code) is protected by copyright. You may not copy it, bulk-download it, extract it with automated tools, resell it, publish it or redistribute it in any form, whether free or paid.

5. Your account

You sign in with your email through an access link, with no passwords. You are responsible for keeping control of your mailbox. If we detect abusive or fraudulent use, we may suspend the account.

6. Optional AI tutor

The AI tutor runs on your own key from an external provider. Use of that key is governed by your provider's terms. Your conversations go straight from your browser to your provider and do not pass through our servers.

7. Payments, withdrawal and refunds

Prices are shown before you pay and are one-off payments. The 14-day right of withdrawal and its exception for digital content are explained in the refunds policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. No guarantee of a pass

The course prepares you for the official Latvian A2 exam, but the result depends on you and on the examining body. We do not promise any particular outcome.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will announce it on the platform before it takes effect.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by European Union law and by the law of the selling entity's country, without removing any rights you have as a consumer in your country of residence.
